Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, inflammatory, demyelinating and degenerative disorder that affects approximately 2.8 million people worldwide. Association Française de Psychiatrie Biologique et de Neuropsychopharmacologie

The French Association of Biological Psychiatry (AFPBN) was founded in 1979 by Professor Pierre Deniker with the aim of promoting the scientific study of psychiatric conditions, their prevention and their treatment.

AFPBN now has nearly 450 active members, who are involved in a wide variety of approaches: clinical psychiatry, neuropsychology, epidemiology, neuroimaging, genetics, molecular biology, psychopharmacology, neurophysiology.

The International College of Neuropsychopharmacology

The International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP) (Collegium Internationale Neuro-Psychopharmacologicum) is a truly worldwide organization established over 60 years ago in Zurich, Switzerland and can count on a widespread support from all over the world by its active members. Holding regular meetings in form of Training, Educational Programs, International Meetings and World Congresses, CINP reaches interested researchers all over the world. Clinicians hear about the latest research advances and new treatments whilst researchers hear about new clinical needs and problems. Therefore, CINP is dedicated to promoting research and education on a worldwide basis.

European Psychiatric Association

With active individual members in as many as 88 countries and 44 National Psychiatric Association Members who represent more than 80,000 European psychiatrists, the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) is the main association representing psychiatry in Europe. The EPA’s activities address the interests of psychiatrists in academia, research and practice throughout all stages of career development. The EPA deals with psychiatry and its related disciplines and focuses on the improvement of care for the mentally ill as well as on the development of professional excellence.

European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS)

The European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) is a non-profit organisation and an independent representative European-wide organisation devoted to MS. The ECTRIMS mission is to facilitate communication, create synergies, and promote and enhance research and learning among professionals for the ultimate benefit of people affected by MS. ECTRIMS works with researchers and clinicians of its member countries and with other organisations that share similar missions and objectives on a worldwide scale, creating networking and collaboration opportunities. The ultimate goal of ECTRIMS is to improve basic and clinical research and clinical outcomes in MS.
